We are strengthening our presence in Washington DC, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia and are looking for a phenomenal Area Sales Manager to lead the charge in the local markets. Based in the DC metro area, you will work remotely as part of our East Sales region, and Team Framery in the Americas. You’ll have a lot of independence as you focus on developing, directing, and implementing area sales goals and objectives and representing Framery locally within the industry. You will succeed in this role by developing and building relationships locally with our Dealer Partners, the A&D community, End Users, Commercial Real Estate teams & Government Entities. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and your colleagues around the country. In addition, you’ll work with the MillerKnoll teams to leverage our MK alliance and work with all of our dealers to help them build & strengthen their Framery business. You will work strategically, building a growth plan for your territory and tactically, implementing the planned steps to drive this growth. You’ll deal with all facets of the sales cycle and work with a local network of stakeholders to support their projects and make improvements at Framery. And of course, giving presentations and organizing events are all part of your tool kit to drive business.
What we look for in our Area Sales Managers is 3 or more years of sales experience, including time in the local office furniture industry. Additionally, a design or product background is always an advantage. You must have an understanding of the way spaces come together and dealership sales strategies as well as a strong network of local contacts in the market, who like doing business with you. You have a clear understanding of GSA contracts and a track record of implementation because of your experience in the DC market. You are an independent self-starter who doesn’t need a ton of direction and you have a passion for great products that shines in excellent communication and collaboration skills. You see the value of working together as a team with both internal and external partners to create customer success. Your situation in life allows for travel to support the business in your territory (daily), and also occasional travel to Finland for training and conferences(1-2x/yr). You love to handle diverse tasks with a flexible, helpful attitude.
