Framery Brings Home Two Award Wins At Neocon!

Framery wins Small Booth Award and Best of NeoCon Silver Award for 2Q meeting pod at NeoCon 2019.

We’ve had an exciting NeoCon this year! Framery has been honored in two distinct awards programs including IIDA/Contract Magazine’s Showroom & Booth Design Awards and Contract Magazine’s Best of NeoCon Awards. Hosted every June at The Merchandise Mart since the late 1960s, NeoCon has served as the commercial design industry’s launch pad for innovation—offering ideas and introductions that shape the built environment today and into the future—for over fifty years.

“We are deeply honored and excited to have been recognized by these two prestigious programs for our work,” says Samu Hällfors.

The first of Framery’s accolades for this year’s NeoCon is the Small Booth award, presented by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and Contract Magazine, the IIDA/Contract Magazine. Showroom & Booth Design Competition recognizes originality of design, visual impact, effective use of materials, and the outstanding use of space, color, texture, lighting, and graphics in showrooms and booths at NeoCon. Framery collaborated with “Reality to Idea” artist Joshua Vides to create an installation that was transformed from its regular form into a two-dimensional sketch. The booth allowed trade show visitors to experience the product in a playful way.

“Each year, this competition offers us an exciting and beautiful way to both effectively present products and enhance attendee experience through spatial innovation,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “The winning showrooms and booths made both visual and experiential impacts. We are pleased to be honoring this year’s firms and manufacturers on their outstanding work.”

Framery also took home a Best of NeoCon Silver Award for Framery 2Q in the Acoustic Privacy & Modular Solutions category. Presented by Contract Magazine, and sponsored by NeoCon and The McMorrow Reports Facility Management & Design Insights, the 30th annual competition of contract furnishing products acknowledges designs in 42 distinct categories.

“We are deeply honored and excited to have been recognized by these two prestigious programs for our work,” says Samu Hällfors. “Our team is committed to furthering the definition of workplace happiness, and we will wear these badges of excellence proudly.”

Framery 2Q is a meeting pod conceptualized to combat the lack of privacy in an open office. Designed to accommodate four to six people, Framery 2Q provides users with a multifunctional workplace that offers a heightened sense of privacy and comfort. The pod serves as a space to brainstorm and collaborate, and its superior sound installation system ensures team huddles won’t disturb the rest of the office. This year, Framery debuted a new furnishing option design for user comfort — an L-shaped sofa that creates a more casual environment for company meetings, a calm space to retreat to during the work day, or an area for socializing.
