The 5th annual Framery Sustainability Report highlights our continued progress and work on sustainability – and uncovers what it takes to build the world’s most sustainable office pods. 

The report underscores Framery’s dedication to sustainability across three core pillars: Climate and Environment, People and Society, and Fair Business.

Company highlights from 2023

2023 was a year of transition at Framery. We’ve increased our efforts towards building the world’s most sustainable office pods – culminating in the release of our new and sustainably built family of smart pods.

Framery is a net positive company

In 2023, Framery received a net impact ratio of +20% – indicating that we create more value compared to the resources we use.

Strategic sustainability program

Our sustainability program for 2024-2028 complements Framery’s strategy and aims to maximize the value we create while minimizing the resources we use. We are either on track or well on track to meet our targets in all but one of the program’s KPIs.

Smart and sustainable office pods

Thoughtful design and mindful engineering of our new smart pods will help us reach our ambitious target to cut product CO₂ emissions by 50% by 2028.

Lightweight design

A new innovative design cuts down on material use by 23%, making the pod easier to move and install, and more efficient to transport.

Recycled materials

Increasing shares of recycled steel, aluminum, glass, and fabrics make our smart pods less emission intensive compared to the previous generation. 

Extended life cycle

The smart pods pods are built to last decades thanks to durable materials and modular parts that make them easy to refurbish and update. 

100% recyclability

Our new smart pods are made from mono materials rather than composites – making them 100% recyclable when they finally reach the end of their life.

Highly efficient

A sustainable pod is the one that gets used a lot – Framery workplace technologies provide the data needed to enable fully optimized pod and office usage. 

Lower emissions than meeting rooms

Framery smart pods have an average 30% lower carbon footprint than built meeting rooms over a 20-year lifetime. 

Ambitions for the future

We’ve already taken a lot of important steps towards sustainability – but we’re not done yet. 

We will continue innovating and developing new ways to meet our product carbon footprint reduction targets – and to increase the sustainability of each pod we produce.
